How do we begin? It only takes “twp to tango” — many groups start with two people and build from there. Other groups begin through a general call for members.
Avenues for gathering new members:
- Contacting established organizations such as SCBWI (Society of Children’s Book Writers and illustrators), WFOP (Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets), Mystery writers of America, or the Green Bay Reading Writers Guild
- Placing ads in newspapers, on-line, or on bulletin boards in bookstores, local colleges, and cafés.
- Putting out a call via social networking – Facebook, Twitter, email, etc.
- Taking writing classes and/or workshops and meeting other writers.
